Episode 31: Environmental Stewardship on the Exterior Trim, Door Modules & Motor Bay

Welcome back to episode 31 of Munro’s Tesla Model Y Performance teardown, where Munro & Associates CEO Sandy Munro walks us through some of the key features Tesla has put in place to save the environment.

To start off the episode, Sandy reviews the progression of chromed and plated parts from the Model S through the Model Y, pointing out why less “bling” benefits in both reduced environmental impact and reduced cost.

As he continues, Sandy takes us through the recycling process of a door and door module, and takes a look at how and why Tesla can get away with very little paint beneath the frunk.
