Three-Wheeled EV – Introducing the Nobe Car

Munro & Associates is proud to announce that they are working with the Nobe Car company on their new vehicle launch.  The Nobe Car is a modern classic design on a three-wheeled EV platform.  The original design comes from Estonia, now brought to the US, and all done within the short time span of a few years (compared with the usual decade or more found with new vehicle lines in other car or sport vehicle companies.

In this reveal video, Sandy Munro presents several aspects of the Nobe car in tandem with the President of Nobe Cars USA, Inc. Mati Otsmaa.  Munro will be working with Nobe to improve its design and make it easier to manufacture while saving costs in order to help bring this car to market even faster.

The Nobe car is electrically efficient while bringing style and nostalgia.  It can go 180 miles on one charge making it practical while having better handling than motorcycle in the snow (you have to see the video to believe it!)

Does Tesla back Munro?

Does Tesla Back Munro?

Does Tesla back Munro?

In the latest Munro Live Video, Sandy talks about what will be coming up in future episodes.  Some of the things the audience can look forward to will be work we are doing with the Renault KWID as well as several prototype electric vehicles that you really don’t want to miss out on.

But let’s get down to the real question that many people seem to be asking recently… “Does Munro work for, or get paid by Tesla?”  The answer is an emphatic, “NO!”

Munro has worked with or analyzed most vehicles that have been brought to market over its 32 years of business from pretty much every automaker.  Munro has helped design, analyze, benchmark, or influenced electric vehicles going as far back as GM’s EV1. This being said, when Munro releases reports like the Telsa Model 3 or Y that are sold openly to anyone and are not paid for studies by an individual company for their R&D or product design departments, they are done on our own dollar and we give up all of the secrets that we find, the good and the bad, warts and all.

If a company pays for us to analyze or redesign a product, it is kept secret and you won’t hear about it for years if ever.  If we do a study like the Model Y, we do it on our own volition in order to sell it to a wide audience because we think it has a lot of properties or technology that the market will be interested in finding out.  It is as simple as that.

One thing Sandy Munro is not, is a shill for anyone!  What we found in the Model Y was truly impressive and beyond our initial expectations, for not only Tesla, but the EV industry in general.  Anyone that buys the report will understand once they see what we have found.  This is why we are warning the automotive market in general, that the bar has been raised and they have to get their sh*t together if they don’t want to be left in the dust.  If you are interested in buying the Model Y report, you can view the prospectus here:

Automotive News – COVID Heros features Sandy Munro

Recently, Automotive News put out it’s latest feature of COVID 19 heroes where they focus on acts of giving throughout the industry within the community regarding acts of kindness or service to the community to help those that are struggling amid the pandemic or small businesses and more.

Sandy Munro was sent several boxes of masks from one of our viewers, Jason Wang of Cypress River Advisors, who sympathized with Munro’s message of tipping the local cashiers in thanks for risking their health during this pandemic and serving the community.  He then provided Munro & Associates with a few thousand masks shipped over from Taiwan so that Sandy could hand them out to the front line cashiers at local grocery stores so that their employees could be protected without having to pay for masks.  Cypress River Advisors has been instrumental in distributing face masks for free to hospitals, nursing homes and communities in need across America, Japan and Taiwan recently and is still collecting donations to do so. (Click here to donate).

Uh oh, Tesla Sues Rivian…

Tesla Sues Rivian

Uh oh, Tesla Sues Rivian…

In a move that is probably more to set a precedent than anything else, Tesla is suing EV truck rival Rivian for violating Trade Secrets law.  During the last little while, roughly 70 employees have left Tesla for Rivian, and Tesla is now claiming that several of these ex-employees who have jumped ship have brought with them valuable intellectual property and secrets that Telsa can’t abide by.

Rivian, although starting up around ten years ago, has been a little under the radar for some until the last few years when their product has come into the media’s focus.  With recent investments coming with Ford ($500M) and Amazon ($700M) and an overall fundraising of upwards of $5 Billion over it’s time, Rivian could stand to be a real competitor with Telsa, especially in the truck race.

Both companies can boast of impressive new technologies, but now it seems as if the competitive waters are going to turn choppy, starting with the legal end of things.

Nikki Gordon-Bloomfield of Transport Evolved has just made a very interesting video that dives into this drama.  To watch the full video, click here:

Want to legally find out some fantastic secrets of Tesla’s engineering? Our Model Y report, which showcases all the leading EV technology, can now be purchased.  No other car we have analyzed has this many technology leaps.  One of those leaps is the Octovalve and Thermal System, which is such a unique technology that we created a separate report just for it.  Also, Munro has reported on 3 EV Inverters and a comparison of 10 of the leading EV motors and the Model 3.

If you are serious about competing in the new EV world, these reports are a must-have.  Don’t be left in the dust while your competitors reap the knowledge contained in these tomes.  Reports of this type don’t exist anywhere else in the market.  Contact for more information.

Sandy Munro’s July 8th 2020 Patreon Q & A Session

Sandy Munro July 8th 2020 Patreon Q & A Session

Sandy Munro’s July 8th 2020 Patreon Q & A Session

In this newly released Q&A session, Sandy Munro answers various pressing questions of our Patrons.  First up on the docket was the pressing question of whether Munro why did Munro choose to start a YouTube Channel and Patreon page during the COVID Pandemic (marketing, PR stunt, add revenue, brand status, etc.) and whether it made a dent in our earnings or helped to keep Munro solvent during this time.  Sandy simply answers that this is simply a way of documented our process and a way to show our customers what we do (or did), but we didn’t think we would have that many viewers.  “Did we make any money at this? Actually no, not really.” Sandy explains, “We made some money when we were selling componentry and whatnot, but that has fallen away.  The objective here is to get the word out on objectives that people want to buy.”

Sandy then goes on completely bash the Reliant Robin (with Mr. Bean references) while exonerating the Arcimoto 3 wheel vehicle, when they are getting compared by a viewer.  He then tells about how the Morgan, another English vehicle, also had similar beginnings but then went on to become an excellent vehicle and, “a hill-climbing champion.”

From there, you have questions regarding the crashworthiness of the mega casting in relation to safety, how the Tesla Y report is selling and who is buying, how does Tesla view consultants vs the Detroit 3 or Asian automakers, and much, much, more.

BTW, the Model Y report is finished, as is the Octovalve and Thermal System, the 3 EV Inverters, and a comparison of 10 of the leading EV motors and the Model 3.

Munro Offers BMW i3 Teardown Report to Public for $10

BMW i3 $10 Report

How do you inspire and help the next Elon Musk in creating the next breakthrough electric vehicle?

If you’re Sandy Munro, CEO of teardown benchmarking and product design firm Munro & Associates, you offer your landmark BMW i3 benchmarking analysis report – a detailed 23,000+ page document that usually sells for $89,000 – for only $10. That’s just $1 per vehicle zone: body; exterior; rolling chassis; battery system; electronics; cooling; driveline and motor; ReX system; IP and interior trim; and seats.

To put this into perspective, it cost Munro over $2 million to develop this in-depth report that analyzes more than 54,000 parts. Most of the OEM’s in the world have purchased it. All the parts are documented with materials, weights, cost, fasteners, glues, suppliers for components and more.

Check out this video where Sandy discusses the report and its potential to inspire:
