Sandy Munro’s Christmas Episode & Tesla Parts Giveaway
Well, it is that time of year again. We have finally reached Christmas of this whacky and as Sandy puts it, “miserable” year. However, Sandy and the team at Munro would like to take some time to bring you a little Christmas joy with our Christmas special.
In this episode, Sandy has some spirited messages regarding this sobering year, but most importantly, he lifts our spirits and awards the winners of the many car parts and whatnot, so if you were near the top of that list getting us over the 100K subscriber mark please watch to find your name, because for many of you, there is only your YouTube name and not your real name, so we need to get in touch with the real people that won so that we can get your mailing addresses and send you your prizes. If you see your YouTube name at the end of the credits in the list of winners, please get in touch with us by emailing email@example.com.
This episode is seriously funny and heartwarming so please have a look, but either way, the team at Munro would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, etc., and a Happy New Year. We hope you are all safe and look forward to making many new videos for in the upcoming year… including the new Model 3 😉
Industry Week 7 Developments Shaping Automotive in 2021
Sandy Munro get featured in the Industry Week article “Back to the Future: 7 Developments Shaping Automotive in 2021 and Beyond” by Laura Putre. On page three of this seven slide article entitled, “Battery Battles Heating Up”, we see the familiar picture of Sandy Munro working on and explaining his mock up of the battery bay system using example replica’s of the new Tesla 4680 batteries.
The article goes on to explain why everyone is watching Tesla’s developments with both awe and fear and why Sandy thinks that the legacy automakers are going to have a hard time catching up. It’s a great article for some sobering statistics on Tesla’s new batteries as well as where the legacy automakers stand.
Munro’s Follow-up Episode On The 4680 Battery Pack
In this episode, Sandy follows up from his last video we did on the 4680 Battery Pack where he addresses several of the comments we got about the original video. Some interesting points go into more detail about how the system is cooled using the Octovalve and why those choices were made as well as Tesla incredible ability to make quick and smart design changes.
Sandy also reveals that our humble channel has finally reached the 100K subscribers mark and that in a future episode we will be announcing the winners of the various prizes that will be distributed soon!
Cory will dive into one of Tesla’s new secret weapon – the Octovalve which Cory describes as, “The world’s best EV thermal management system.” Cory’s presentation will be Thursday, Nov. 12 at 11:15 am. Rivian vs. Hummer EV Results Plus Sandy announces massive Tesla Giveaway!
Well, the votes are in and it is a clear winner. When announced in the last video that we wanted your input on which vehicle to pick next for Munro to analyze/study next, the hands-down winner was Rivian. With Rivian being the vehicle of most interest to our group of followers we are in the plans of how we will make a series on this going forward.
But now onto the real topic of the day… Munro’s 100,000 subscribers give away extravaganza!

Hello again boys and girls, and welcome to another episode of Munro Live. In today’s episode we discuss the somewhat controversial move Apple is making where all new iPhone 12 phones will ship without wall chargers or Lightning EarPods in the box to reduce the phone’s environmental impact over time.
In general though, Sandy thinks this is both a good move for the environment as well as returning profit to the shareholders by reducing an unnecessary cost. Beyond saving money by not providing the charger and the earbuds, Apple can reduce box size and internal packaging which, unless you are a hoarder like Cory, will just end up in the landfill anyway. Moreover, Apple packaging their phone in a smaller box will decrease shipping costs and allow them to ship more due to the reduced volume of the boxes.
Jalopnik Drops Off The Cheapest EV in the World at Munro
Well, they warned us… Jalopnik’s own Jason Torchinsky threatened that he was going to come visit Munro after competing in the race “Motorsport 4 the Masses” event in Franklin, North Carolina, and by golly, here they are!
As the Changli, in all it’s 1.1 Horsepower glory, can’t handle a trip of more than 28 miles on a single charge, the car is getting transported around using an F 250 Tremor. Jason promised to come visit Munro with this oddity of a vehicle after the race so that Sandy could tool-around a bit with it, give some analysis, and lament over the engineering he finds, exclaiming, “everything here tells me I don’t know anything about cars” lol.
In the second installment of Sandy’s analysis of Tesla’s battery day discoveries, Sandy starts off by answering certain comments and questions from viewers and then goes into more detail about why he thinks the batteries will be a superior solution. Sandy also reveals where the large casting came from in our last video – Invocast!
From there Sandy Goes back into history and starts talking about other projects that Munro has worked on where we have turned a corner in technology and improved a product or vehicle to the point where we changed the critic’s minds about what could be possible.
Sandy then moves into Munro’s future, working with several new electric vehicles in order to bring low cost and fun transportation solutions to the market, in the form of Arcimoto’s FUV, Aptera, and the Nobe Car. We address issues like safety, but also cost, delivering to niche markets, and innovation in a burgeoning area of EVs. Sandy also let’s his audience know that he is open to investors who want to be a part of the future of these vehicles, specifically the Nobe.
But perhaps most interesting of all… there is a surprise box at the end… what will it be???
Munro & Associates is proud to announce that they are working with the Nobe Car company on their new vehicle launch. The Nobe Car is a modern classic design on a three-wheeled EV platform. The original design comes from Estonia, now brought to the US, and all done within the short time span of a few years (compared with the usual decade or more found with new vehicle lines in other car or sport vehicle companies.
In this reveal video, Sandy Munro presents several aspects of the Nobe car in tandem with the President of Nobe Cars USA, Inc. Mati Otsmaa. Munro will be working with Nobe to improve its design and make it easier to manufacture while saving costs in order to help bring this car to market even faster.
The Nobe car is electrically efficient while bringing style and nostalgia. It can go 180 miles on one charge making it practical while having better handling than motorcycle in the snow (you have to see the video to believe it!)
What is in the box? Munro Reveals Its Newest Project
Exciting times at Munro & Associates today as we release our newest project – the Nobe car! Over the coming weeks, we will be covering all of the interesting features of this beautiful little car and Sandy is pumped to not only analyze the existing vehicle but to show how we will improve the design through our time tested methodologies.
As this is just a teaser you will have to stay tuned to find out where this takes us, but in the meantime, please watch this unveiling vignette that in true unboxing video fashion is satisfying to watch:
