Automotive News – COVID Heros features Sandy Munro
Recently, Automotive News put out it’s latest feature of COVID 19 heroes where they focus on acts of giving throughout the industry within the community regarding acts of kindness or service to the community to help those that are struggling amid the pandemic or small businesses and more.
Sandy Munro was sent several boxes of masks from one of our viewers, Jason Wang of Cypress River Advisors, who sympathized with Munro’s message of tipping the local cashiers in thanks for risking their health during this pandemic and serving the community. He then provided Munro & Associates with a few thousand masks shipped over from Taiwan so that Sandy could hand them out to the front line cashiers at local grocery stores so that their employees could be protected without having to pay for masks. Cypress River Advisors has been instrumental in distributing face masks for free to hospitals, nursing homes and communities in need across America, Japan and Taiwan recently and is still collecting donations to do so. CORP! Magazine Recognizes Munro in COVID-19 Heroes
In the most recent issue of “CORP! Magazine”, there is a featured section on Michigan companies that picked up the fight against COVID in their own way to help make better of a terrible situation through providing community solutions to the cause.
Sandy Munro started off early talking about the importance of paying it forward to the front line cashiers at local grocery stores in order to acknowledge their risk of catching the illness in the act of performing their jobs by tipping them with whatever change is leftover in a person’s grocery bill. This topic was featured in Munro’s now highly watched YouTube series on the Tesla Model Y teardown. The #keepthechange hashtag started to catch on.
A fan of Sandy’s show, Jason Wang of Cypress River Advisors, sympathized with this message and provided Munro & Associates with a few thousand masks shipped over from Taiwan so that Sandy could hand them out to the front line cashiers at local grocery stores so that their employees could be protected without having to pay for masks. Cypress River Advisors has been instrumental in distributing face masks for free to hospitals, nursing homes and communities in need across America, Japan and Taiwan recently and is still collecting donations to do so. The grocery stores were elated and it definitely put a smile on the managers and employees faces (albeit, hard to see under the masks). This story was then picked up by CORP! Magazine where you can read the full story story here.
Cybertruck E3 – Driveline & Off-Roading
In today’s new episode of the Cybertruck comparison with the F150, Silverado, and RAM, Sandy will be discussing driveline and off-roading capabilities. Our 3 conventional trucks are all 4×4 capable and fairly similar in many respects owing to their long histories in the market and established paradigms.
The Cybertruck, however, is a completely different animal, including a feature that allows it to almost roll over and then restabilize and roll back which is also found in the Tesla Model Y.
Sandy also gives some great background stories of him learning to truly off-road with a Land Rover Discovery and training at the Land Rover facility in Solihull, UK.

Just another reminder, the Model Y report is almost finished, along with the Octovalve and Thermal System, the Inverter report, a comparison of 10 of the leading EV motors and the Model 3. If you are serious about competing in the new EV world, these reports are a must-have. Don’t be left in the dust while your competitors reap the knowledge contained in these tomes. Reports of this type don’t exist anywhere else in the market. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Munro gives out masks from Cypress River Advisors to local grocery stores!
Sandy Munro has been urging our viewers on Munro Live to tip their cashiers and, in general, pay respect to the front line essential workers who have been putting their lives and health on the line during this COVID 19 crisis.
Well, recently Sandy has taken it one step further and with the help of Jason Wang at Cypress River Advisors, the creative engineers at giveneed.org, and the Taiwanese manufacturers, Sandy Munro handed out boxes of facemasks to certain local grocery stores in the Detroit Metro area.
Jason Wang, an alumnus from the University of Michigan and Wolverines fan who now lives in Taiwan and runs an Investment Company with a portfolio including philanthropic work fostering air quality analytical platforms, academic research, and education provided these much-needed masks recently and the local grocery stores who received them were all too happy. From all the people at Munro, we very much thank Jason for his generous donation and salute his commitment to helping our at-risk workers!
Munro would like to send a big thanks out to Jason and his team and all the other unsung heroes out there making a difference during this pandemic!
